WordPress introduces a 100 year hosting plan that can be passed down to your children.

An exceptional new plan for those who want to secure their online legacy for a lifetime—and then some.

I often think about how I might keep my domain up and running after I’m gone…

Do you know anyone who’s signed up?

I'm not sure I believe this will be meaningful in another 20 years let alone 100, but there is a certain appeal in not having to think about hosting for the rest of my life. XD

When I've thought about this my thought was always to use nearlyfreespeech.net. $500 would go a long way with their hosting.

I always figured to pass my stuff into to future children (children of friends, likely lmao) I'd backup everything to physical storage but this is cool too. $38,000 though is a bombshell to drop at the end even though it makes sense LMAO

I can't imagine any halfwits out there buying this (at least not seriously). If you have 38k to blow on this, it will surely be possible to get someone else to renew your domain for you for less than this.

Table math while I’m at the pub…

It works out to $33 per month for the 100 years that avoids inflation and other costs.

Not just domain renewal but hosting/server space and keeping your website on the latest technology.

It’s a lot upfront, but when you think about the value over the term of the plan it’s quite brilliant.

But yeah. I prob won’t…
